The story of a former gambler, Mike, who must come back to having played underground high-stakes poker to assist in paying off a large debt is told in the film Rounders, which many people consider to be the best movie that encapsulates the spirit of poker. In the very first scene, Mike eloquently describes the appeal of Texas Hold 'em, only to suffer a devastating defeat at the hands of pocket Aces.
